Last Day on Earth - visual assemblages from mediated walks in physical space and cyberspace, around the outer edges of narrative, non-sites, liminal zones.
I often try to create a spatial narrative when I show my work in a gallery setting: altering the space or creating a new one, making the space itself an immersive work, a bearer of meaning or atmosphere. In this case I did something else; I inserted my work into a space already heavily characterized by the concrete narrative of urban planning.
The exhibition opened under a subway bridge in Telefonplan on April 8th 2021, and was closed on April 11th when SL (Stockholm Public Transport) and CSG (anti-graffiti security contractor) called for the paintings to be taken down or they would be destroyed.
